Sudden Death Hockey Club

MEET THE TEAM

History

Sudden Death Hockey Club was formed in 2006 by two amateur hockey players, Marty Hollingshead and Frank Buck.  We skate on Monday and Friday nights at the Midwest Training & Ice Center in Dyer, Indiana. Our goal is to have fun promoting the sport of hockey and giving back to the community. Our team is composed of men ranging in age from their early 20's to their late 50's.

Sudden Death Hockey Club is more then just a hockey team, we're a group of close-knit friends who still enjoy the love of the game, giving back to the community and spreading hockey awareness.Age really doesn't matter, it's what you've got in your heart. Like others who played before us, we give it our best. No matter the injury or pain, we still strap on the skates and play like there's no tomorrow. We play tired, sick, and just plain sick and tired. We play for love of the game and respect of our teammates.

In September of 2007 we raised money for charity by playing the Chicago Blackhawks Alumni team. We also lend a helping hand to those in need, whether it's a charitable foundation or a friend or neighbor needing a hand. It's an honor to play this game, and an honor as well to help our fellow man.
